PLEASE CONSULT EXPERTS if your child:

  • does not make an eye contact, or only does at their will,
  • does not look when they are called,
  • is older than 1½ year old and does not speak, or used to have a few words then ceased to talk,
  • says a few words when they are forced or at their will,
  • has echolalia; repetition of vocalizations made by another person,
  • does not use their index finger to show objects,
  • tries to communicate through pulling and pushing a person,
  • does not or could not wave,
  • does not create role playing games like playing house, doctors, policemen, etc. and cannot dramatize,
  • has limited imitation skills,
  • -does not establish a relationship with their peers or play games
  • treats others like they are objects or tools,
  • has obsessive behaviors such as using the same road,
  • repeats the same things or opens and closes doors, windows, etc.
  • has ritualistic behaviors,
  • has stereotypical behaviors such as hand flapping, looking their hands, shaking, rotating objects, turning
    around, swinging ropes, cables, etc. and carrying irrelevant objects,
  • does not play with their toys in their intended way,
  • lays toys together or pays attention to small parts (turning toy car’s wheel instead of driving or poking doll’s eyes instead of feeding),
  • does not have a matching facial expression with the situation, does not use their gestures,
  • rolls their eyes to left or right (peripheral gazing) and follows a line,
  • is not aware of danger,
  • has low pain sensitivity,
  • walks on their tiptoes,
  • cries or laughs pointlessly,
  • has tantrums and does self-harm (punching their jaw or head, biting themselves)
  • dislikes being touched or wants to touch their parents (especially to mother) at all times,
  • shows no reactions when meet or leave people,
  • feels insecure due to any change in the environments or behaviors they are accustomed to.
